5 IMPORTANT things to talk about with your fiance & in-laws

1. BUDGET

What is the budget? This is something that needs to be discussed. Setting a realistic budget is very important in this process. Every person has a different idea about wedding prices. Talk to your fiancee and family about what budget you should set.

2. GUEST LIST

This is a big one. Often the bride & groom or the family has different ideas about who should be on the guest list. Begin your list with writing everyone down and then begin narrowing down your list.

3.TRADITIONS

This is also something that is important based on background, culture and beliefs. Some people have traditions that are important to them, It's good to discuss what traditions (if any) you want to implement in your wedding day.

4. WHO PAYS FOR WHAT

This has changed immensely over time. There used to be more of a traditional stance on who pays for what, such as the Bride side pays for the wedding, the groom pays for the rehearsal dinner, the honeymoon and car. Now, most couples pay for their own wedding and it varies based on income.

5. WHAT'S IMPORTANT

How to involve children? The wedding day moments? Focus on what matters most to you and every individual is different.

Final thoughts:

It's important that we discuss these often neglected areas in the wedding planning process. When you talk about these thing you will avoid unnecessary conflicts.
